It's beginning to look a lot..

.. like Christmas around here. I am very proud of us because this is early for decorations and a tree (if it happens at all). I think kids help you get into that Christmas spirit .. it doesn't matter that they have no idea why you just put a tree ("tee," as Addyson would say) in the living room and hung some stockings ("gockga," as Aeron would try to repeat) .. there's just something about Christmas and kids. It's contagious and I love it.

I must admit I was a little more than worried about putting ornaments on the tree for fear they might end up all over the living room and broken, or even the tree landing on it's side. So far so good, although it's only been a few days. :) We had a small tree with lights up for a few days before the big tree went up, and it think that was a good test. They were very curious, but very good as well. The little tree has landed on it's side a few times, but not such a big deal. Addyson likes to touch the lights and say, "hot" and then come over so you can kiss her finger. And Aeron of course follows suit. (Hmm.. who's the instigator right now!?) They love to point out the balls that are hung on the big tree .. even if they are so high they have to stand on their tip-toes and practically fall into the tree while doing so. They point and tap and make things shake, but after just a few minutes they go on to something else. Only twice did Addyson come walking into the room I was in today with an ornament in her hand. We'll see how the rest of the season goes.

So this is how Aeron eats a cookie..

.. and this is how Addyson eats a cookie. Now she has eaten a few like a normal person, but at least half the time they end up like below. She then likes to pick out the chocolate chips and Aeron likes to sneak over and help.

The kids coloring at their new table (thanks Shelly!!) Aeron uses his right hand almost all the time, while Addyson uses both hands, although favoring her left a little more.

Enjoing breakfast at the new table .. with a view!

This would be silly miss Addyson pulling her shirt half-way over her head and then walking around running into things giggling.

Helping dad do some work.

And everyone's favorite character right now .. Elmo! Addyson, especially just loves him. They don't always watch TV like this, I promise. I had just turned it on after dinner and they were very intrigued.

Oh yeah, and they were weighed on Thursday when they went to the doc for a follow-up on their ear infections (all clear by the way). Aeron is 22 lbs. 10 oz. and Addyson is 23 1/2 lbs. Aeron is up to 14 teeth (getting the two top pointy ones). Addyson has 12. Addyson knows so many words I have lost count .. 30 or more now maybe. Aeron knows 10, I would guess, and although he can't say them as well as her, you can tell he knows what he wants to say.
