Coloring, Aeron's First Haircut, and Hugs

Everyone ready for Christmas? I think we are. All the presents are bought, wrapped, and we are able to relax and enjoy the season for a bit now. We are so excited to see how the kids react Christmas morning. We will be sure to take pictures!
Every morning we got through the same routine. The kids come out to the living room and run up to the little tree pointing and grunting until we plug in the lights and then they run to the big tree until we do the same. The next thing is the lamps .. both of them have to be on .. all day long, no matter if the sun is out or not. Usually by this time "Elmo" (Addyson) or "Mamo" (Aeron) has been said a time or two and the TV has been pointed to, so their favorite movie is started. And the electric meter starts spinning..



The kids really enjoy coloring right now. Just about every day at some point they ask to do this. They definitely cannot be trusted yet by themselves with those lovely crayons, and are told over and over "on the paper.." their little table, the refridgerator, the carpet .. just a few things that have been victims thus far.

Yes, this is Addyson's new thing. She takes her shirt off by herself several times a day .. not every day (seems to be certain shirts) .. we put it back on her and she just takes it back off. Silly little girl. You will see her without a shirt again in a picture below..

Aeron's hair before .. long bangs, tufts of hair over his ears .. it was getting a little out of control. Cute, of course, but hard to make it look like he didn't just wake up.


Daddy giving Aeron his haircut. Aeron was so good .. he fidgeted a little, but for the most part he just stood there and watched in the mirror. Every time dad would try to get down by his neck, Aeron would squirm because it tickled. We didn't buzz it too short .. just cleaned it up a bit.


And here's an after shot. I think it makes him look so much older, but I love it.


Had to save the best for last. This is probably my all-time favorite picture so far (I wish Addyson had a shirt on, but hey, can't be picky right? :) ) They are really in to giving hugs right now .. not every time you ask them, of course, but quite often. Here Addyson is giving Aeron one of her wonderful hugs and he is loving it. They are so much fun right now and this picture just says it all. They really do love each other and I don't know what they would do without each other.
