Babe, It's Cold Outside

No sled riding or snow-fun this week. The temps were in the negatives or near them most days, so we did not spend any time outdoors. Except, of course, taking the pup out to pee. Even she made those trips short and sweet, though, thank goodness.

Speaking of the pup .. she sure gets her work out with Tress every day. Those two go out it nonstop for an hour or more at a time. Don't worry, it's very two-sided. Cayce tries to walk away and Tress grabs her legs. Tress tries to get away and Cayce, well, holds him down. It's all in good fun, though, from what we can tell .. good ol' dog and cat chases are very much a numerous-times-a-day-occurrence. We are hoping this wears off sooner rather than later, but at least they get their exercise and crash for several naps a day.

The kids have taken a liking to showers. We take baths or showers almost every night, and I bet in the last two weeks they have had 2 or 3 baths. Instead, they like it to "rain." It does help the ol' back when you don't have to stoop down over the tub side to wash them, and they have a blast in there.

Addyson's new sayings lately are "well" and "babe." The "well" is almost a drawn out southern accent.
Mom: "Addyson, why did you just throw all the popcorn on the floor?"
Addyson: "Well, mom, I was tyin' to pop it."
Uh-huh, okay, so the answers don't always make much sense, but at least she tries to explain.

In most cases Aeron has been "babe" to Addyson, but she will also say it to the animals. Most of the time it's "C'mon babe." or "It's alwight, babe." No idea where it came from.

I didn't realize how big Tress has gotten until I saw this picture. Same goes for Cayce in the picture above.

You can't see this picture real well since it's taken right into a window, but Addyson and Aeron love to play with the window "stickers." We have had some up for Christmas and winter for a while now, but today I got out the Valentine's Day set. How exciting for almost-3-year-olds! Tress loves to get up there and can actually swipe them right off the window. I've noticed he does the batting of things to the floor, and Cayce does the chewing. Yet another set of partners in crime in this household.

Wow, Tress has gotten big! And I love the picture of the kiddos with him and the one at the window with the stickers. Too cute...all 4 of your babies!
