The kitty meows..
Addyson: "Haaaah! Whatz dat fom?"
Mom: "Addyson, you know what that is.."
Addyson: "The kitty meowin!"
If you try to call Aeron anything other than Aeron, he will correct you. Daddy asked him if he was his little buddy today. "No, I Aeron!" Aeron said.
Mom: "Are you a big boy?"
Aeron: "I not big boy, I Aeron!"
So now we say he's "big boy Aeron" and he seems okay with that.
We had a free evening finally, and took the kids to the pet store. It had been a while since we've been there, and they were quite excited, although, Aeron asked if we would see giraffes, elephants, and rhinos. Yes, I guess that can be a little confusing when we've also been to the zoo.
For some reason one of the younger guys scoped out Addyson from the start and asked if she wanted to see the snakes. When we made our way back there, he got them out for her. While mom, dad, and Aeron stayed an arms-length away, Addyson was right in there as he brought out not one, not two, but three freakin' snakes. She loved it.. let them sniff all over her while she pet them, and even held the boa all by herself. These were small things, nothing bigger than 1-1/2 feet, I would guess, but the boa she held was probably close to an inch thick. I guess we are proud parents, right? :) The pictures of the pet store are a little grainy because they were with my cell phone, but you get the idea. While she was holding the boa, I told her to turn around and look at me so I could take her picture.. she turned and started walking toward me and I litterally started running away. Matt stopped her, thank goodness, and I snapped the picture. She tried to put it in her little cart.. I think she was trying to tell us something.

Speaking of these carts, how adorable are they? The kids loved them. Addyson zoomed around the store like a maniac shopper barely looking at where she was going, but suprisingly she didn't run into too many things. Aeron was very careful and much slower pushing his cart around.

We moved on from the snakes and onto the rodents, where another helpful associate got out the ferrets for the kids to pet. They must have been bored this night, or something, because every other time we have been in there, no animals were taken out of the cages - and we did not ask to see anything. Anyway, this was much more up Aeron's alley, and he even told her he wanted to pet the white ferret after she got out the brown one first.
It was a simple, but fun evening.. a little more adventurous than we were banking on, considering the petting zoo we found, but the kids had a ball.
Tress curled up beside Aeron as he watched TV tonight..
And here are the three monkeys. Tress had to spread out a bit after Aeron moved, but he's more or less sitting. He's quite the entertainment these days chasing, batting, pouncing, and playing. Although sometimes it's your legs he goes after as you walk by.

Too funny to see Tress in a "sitting" position! Oh and come on Chan, you didn't want to pet the snakes? I think you have another Char the reptile lover on your hands...bet she'd like an iguana! HeeHee!
The cat cracks me up. It looks so darn cute on the couch. I would run from the snake to but I probbly will never let my kids near one. At least when they are around me.
HAH! Yeah, I wonder where she got the reptile-loving gene (*looks around innocently*) :) I'm so proud!! I wish I still had some scaly things for her to hold!
I love that picture of Tress sitting on the couch with them - too cute!
