We did bundle the kids up Friday evening to venture out and see Santa. We have been mentioning Christmas and Santa and all the fun that the Holiday brings lately, and even though the kids don't quite "get it," they know it's something exciting and wanted to see Santa. Wooster has a 'Winter Wonderland' each year, where Santa comes to town and is helped off the roof of a building by the local fire department truck ladder. (I tried to snap a picture of this, but the lighting was awful, sorry.) The local shops show off their Christmas window displays, there is singing, and the lighting of a tree on the square. Aeron loved the fire truck, of course, and both loved seeing Santa. We saw reindeer (real ones), a snowman, the Nutcracker, sipped hot chocolate, ate some popcorn, got suckers, balloons, and candy canes, so all in all it was a fun time, but quite cold. I think Addyson would have loved to get close and sit on Santa's lap, but I'm quite certain Aeron would not have. We didn't stick around to see because it was freezing outside and the line was too long. Addyson, in her best, sad voice said as we walked away, "but I wanted to see Santa Cwaus." We did see him, just not close enough for her. And we promised we will see him again, close enough for her to touch and both to sit on his lap if they please. It's not even Thanksgiving yet for goodness sake!
During dinner one evening this week, Addyson was being her normal goofy self and somehow we started talking about names. I was asking her what she wanted to be called .. a few being "Addy" or "Son," and she kept saying "no" to all of them, but after I asked her about "Son" she said, "I'm Moon!" Somehow this transformed into Aeron being "Sun." About 10 minutes after dinner and nothing being said about their new names for a while, someone didn't smell very good and I asked who had a dirty diaper. Aeron very quickly said, "It's Moon!" For a few days now off and on they have rememebered these names and call themselves "Moon" and "Sun" and just giggle and giggle each time they say it.

PA PA Frank -- sounds like some hippies naming thier children. I love it. Is it far from calling the parents something like Stormy and Dakota.
