Addyson and Tress in his cat bed. Tress doesn't use this bed very often. Sometimes he sleeps in our bed, sometimes we'll hear Aeron at night saying, "No! Down!" and we know he's in Aeron's room trying to get comfy. I've found Tress sound asleep beside Addyson a few times and I don't think she even knows he's there (or she knows he's there and doesn't care). He's very good at opening doors that are not quite latched just so he can curl up in a warm bed. Smart kitty.

And the highlight of the kids' week .. new PJ's! I went through a big load of hand-me-downs from a little girl this summer and tried to pick out things I thought Addyson would fit into by winter. I remember seeing a pair of Dora the Explorer PJs that looked like they would fit in 5 months or so, but it was well before Addyson really even knew who Dora was, so I didn't think much of them. Well, in the last month or so, Dora and Diego have become part of our daily lives. The other day I found the Dora PJs I had set aside and surprised Addyson with them. We've had some fun mornings trying to get that shirt off of her, of course, but each day is getting easier and easier. When Aeron saw her Dora PJs he wondered where his were. I asked him if he would like a pair of Diego PJs, thinking it wouldn't be hard to find some. He, of course, thought that was a great idea and I told him that I would try to find him a pair in the next day or so. He was perfectly fine with that. The next day at lunch I ran to three different stores and found no trace of Diego .. not even a measily little T-shirt. I ended up having to order a pair online, and they wouldn't be here until next Monday at the earliest. I felt so bad every night as I put on Addyson's Dora PJ's and Aeron would ask me where his Diego PJ's were. I kept telling him they are coming .. it will just be a few more days. Each time he just said, "Oh, okay.. few days, mommy?" I was so excited when they arrived earlier than expected on Friday. When we showed them to him he held them up and asked, "You got these for me?" And then he just stared and stared at them. It was the cutest thing. He is SO appreciative of things like that. And Saturday morning, the first day I had to take them off to get changed, he didn't put up a fight at all. I think it helped that we were putting on "Ohio Tate" gear, but still, he's so mellow about things like that.
And here they are in their Dora and Diego pajamas. Of course they could care less that I'm taking their picture because one can only guess that they are watching, what else, but another Dora or Diego episode.
And another close-to-bedtime photo.
