I'm not sure how much to post about this - I don't think I will go into any detail, but we had a horrible happening at the homefront last week. Bailey was hit and killed on the road Wednesday night. He was our friend, our buddy, our security blanket, and we miss him. As expected, the kids have been asking where he is. We remind them what happened, they seem to understand or accept it, and then 10 minutes later the question is asked again. It's just hard to understand death at 2 1/2.
Life does go on, and the kids are wowing us things they say and stories they tell. We are able to tell them what they will be doing the next day and they get excited. We are able to ask about their day when we put them down for bed at night, and they can remember all kinds of things they did. Yes, I've used this before, but I am loving this age.
Addyson and Aeron love playing "baby." I think Addyson was telling Aeron he had to lay here .. he obliged, of course.
