One Busy Weekend

And that it was. The kids played with play-doh (and loved it)..

They are just cracking us up with one-liners these days.

Addyson and I jumped in the car for a short errand while Aeron stayed home with dad. This is a pretty rare occurrence, and as I was putting Addyson in her carseat, she looked over and pointed to Aeron's seat and said, "Mommy, we're missin' one!"

Aeron's new saying is, "maybe not." He has been saying it quite often lately. We asked him if Addyson could play with one of his tractors. He said, "yeah, well.. maybe not." This seems to be his new "no." What a polite way of saying it! And very cute.

I was brushing Addyson's teeth the other night and she had her mouth open, but not very wide. I said, "Addyson, open your mouth." She said, "I am!" She's got some sass in her, that's for sure.

Bathtime fun..

We taught the kids "Duck, Duck, Goose" this weekend. They like the idea of sitting in a circle.. that's what Aeron calls the game, and of course they like the running around - often not sitting down after just one or two times around. They would also often both get up and start chasing even if they weren't the "goose," but it was quite entertaining.

Here's another game the two of them play sometimes. As I was settling the kids down for their nightly books before bed:
Addyson: "Say boop!"
Aeron: "Boop!" (giggle, giggle)
Addyson: "Say goo!"
Aeron: "Goo!" (full body laughing now)
Addyson: "Say teek!"
Aeron: "Teek!" (both almost falling off the couch laughing) .. and I couldn't help but laugh at them laughing. It was contagious. This went on for quite a while. They had no idea what the words were that they were saying, but it didn't matter.

We had the 3rd Annual Multiples Halloween Party this weekend. It is so amazing how far everyone has come .. and unbelievable that it's been over 2 1/2 years since we all met at Akron Children's Hospital and Ronald McDonald House. 12 children, 5 families, all multiples, all premature, born within about 1 month of each other. What a great support group we had in those first tough days and months, and what great friends we have grown into. And there are now 13 kids .. 2 sets of triplets (our buddy, Hayden, is in heaven), and 4 sets of twins (one of the original sets of twins now has a set of twin sisters!) I know, absolute chaos, but so fun to get together and see how everyone is doing. (There is one Incredible Hulk missing in the first picture, if you are trying to count kids.)

How fun does this look? Yep, one of our friends brought along their bounce-house, and what a blast everyone had. I wanted to jump in there with them!

I'll try to get some good pictures of Mickey and Minnie next week on a trick or treat excursion or two. They absolutely love their costumes this year!

And last but not least, meet Tress (don't have to explain that one if you are an OSU fan). This little guy was found at the bowling alley and has now found a home here.

The kids are elated, and to them he is "CJ," the kitty that was found here over the summer and now lives with Grandpa and Grandma Y. They do call the new kitty "Tressie" when they remember, but we figure he'll be CJ for a while yet .. he does look alot like him. Addyson has a hard time just letting him/her (not sure yet) roam around and explore. She loves rocking him and singing to him, and just lugging him around everywhere.

Aeron likes to hold and rock him, too (as long as he's doing it right, according to Addyson,) but is very content to follow him around and pet him when he can. Right now Tress is curled up under my arm napping.
