Monsoon Season

I think the kids were wet more than they were dry this week. The rain just didn't seem to want to let up much at all. But that didn't stop the kids from going out. I think we had more baths during the day rather than right before bedtime this week than we have since they have been born.

Here we have another puddle jumping experience, in the rain. This was one day last week as we were grilling dinner. They had a blast, of course.

And here is a huge puddle by the barn during a little shin-dig. It was like a wading pool. How can you keep kids out of something like that?

What would the kids be doing here? Sleeping?

If you said passing a battery-powered Thomas the Train choo-choo back and forth under the coffee table, you would be correct.

And of course more swimming at G&G Yoders.. with what else, but rain? The kids are getting more and more brave each time we go. They have these life jacket suits that will help them float a little, so they were climbing in from the side and shimmying their way to the steps over and over. They do love the water. Here is Addyson sporting some goggles.

Addyson's new saying.. "Aeron wook!" or "Mommy wook!" This would be when she is doing something she wants you to see. Sometimes it's standing on her head, sometimes it's covering her ears, sometimes it's a pretzel sticking partly out of her mouth. You just never know.
Aeron loves jumping on the bed with Addyson and singing, "Two monkeys, two monkeys!" He loves to "pay cups" (play cups) in the pool and even in the tub. He will pour water back and forth between cups for the longest time. I try to get him out of the tub to dry off and he points to me saying, "more minute!"
