For some reason I didn't get a picture of Addyson with the trains, but I assure you, she plays with them just about as much as Aeron. We are not quite sure what we did before Thomas, Neville, and Molly came to our house. These would be engines of the Thomas the Train set the kids received for their birthday. We have already replaced the batteries in each at least once and there has not been a day that has passed without the choo-choos running. And this doesn't mean they run for a few minutes.. oh no, they run for hours on end. Even if the kids do move on to something else .. even if it's in another room, you better not try to turn the trains off or they will come running. These engines are quite strong, as well, because they do not just run on the track, they run all over the house .. over things, under things, around things .. we have found that a wall is pretty much the only thing that stops them (but not that humming sound.) Aeron is pretty good about sitting and watching them go around the track, although he loves to pick them up and watch the wheels go around. He also, today, was making them run into the back door over and over and over. Addyson can barely stand to let them go around the track once. She has to pick them up, and then often just lays them on their side so they can't go anywhere, but doesn't turn them off, so they still chug away, going nowhere. We have figured out that if we tell the kids the trains need to 'sleep,' they will turn them off for just a little bit and let them rest for a few "shhh's."

Addyson was helping fold the laundry the other night. She definitely will sit and do things (color, for example) for much longer periods of time then Aeron.

These kids love their ice cream. Their Great-Grandpa Yoder would be proud!

This is Aeron saying "cheese" .. he says it as soon as he sees the camera come out.

They must have gotten their fashion-sense from their father. :) Addyson is still into taking her shirt (and sometimes pants) off in the evenings. And of course if she does it, Aeron is soon to follow. Also notice the snow boots that Aeron is wearing .. these are becoming a constant in the evenings, too. Soon after this picture, he had nothing but a diaper and the boots on. Nice. I think they were stooping down because I was stooping to take their picture.. they are taking pictures with their phones as well, of course.

These two can be best of friends. It just melts my heart some of the things I see them do. They walked around the house holding hands the other day. Everywhere they went. Addyson would get so mad if he tried to walk off without her .. she would say, "Hand!" and grab his hand, and of course he obliged. This morning Aeron woke up and ran into Addyson's room (she was still sleeping, so I followed him in there quickly) and he was just standing there rubbing her back. Below you can kind of see them holding hands if you look close enough.

How awesome that they love the trains (as if they wouldn't, considering the "choo-choo" fascination!) I'll have to get you a supply of AA batteries! Love it..and them...and you!
