The kids are getting cabin fever and the weather is just teasing us here and there. We were out the one warm evening this week and the kids had an absolute ball. They had to "sving" as Addyson calls it, and just run around like crazy people up and down the hills and all over the gravel drive and damp yard. They tough part right now is that they can see their swings from the window and they want to go out NOW! Unfortunately it's just too cold most days yet and we have to somehow direct their attention elsewhere. We did go out a for a little bit tonight again and came back in with screaming kids (who were not ready to come in) with runny noses and rosy, red cheeks. Spring please come to stay!!
Not too sure what he was doing here .. making a gravel angel?
Aeron still loves his hills .. he stands at the top, hunches down with his hands on his knees and says "ready, set, go!" as he takes off running, looking like he will tumble head over heels every time. Quite impressively, he rarely does tumble. And off he goes back up the hill for more.
Addyson actually took a tumble down our basement steps last week. Ouch. We couldn't find a single bump or bruise on her, though. Amazing how kids are so resistant to getting hurt when they are little. I know if it was mom or dad that took that tumble we would still be sore, if not in a cast of some kind.
Let's see.. Aeron is also losing his thumbnail. He pinched it last week pretty good and it has been turning all kinds of lovely purples, blues, and blacks ever since. We were hoping he wouldn't lose it, but just the other day he was playing and I looked over and he was (get ready for a shiver) bending his nail back and forth. It had come loose at the sides and now it is only attached down at the base of his nail. I can't imagine what that feels like.
I think that is the extent of our ouch list for now. Plenty, if you ask me!
"Aeron .. blow!" Addyson can be quite a little bossy mommy to him sometimes. We hear "no, no, honey," come out of her mouth quite a bit. At least she says it nicely. :)
And this is Addyson's attempt at putting on a jacket. She did well, except that it is upside down. And yes, she is still trying to blow Aeron's nose.

Oh my goodness...those two just make me laugh! And Chan, you are so good at telling us their stories. I love it!
We did make snow angels a few weeks ago, a gravel angel is close!
