Labor Day Weekend 2010

I would have to say the Meshew family thoroughly enjoyed this Labor Day weekend. We had several days of all four of us being home, together, and just enjoying the time. We didn't do anything extravagant, but had fun none-the-less. Here's a list of many of the things we did as a family:

spent time in the barn with the kittens.. multiple, multiple times
ate at Cici's Pizza so Aeron could have his favorite mac-n-cheese pizza
road the 4-wheeler.. lots
went to a pet store
took down the grape arbor
cleaned the house
played outside
fished for almost 3 hours
ate dinner at 9pm
flew kites
had a family Labor Day picnic
played UNO

Aeron and his buddy, Tress. There is a series of pictures of these two that is just priceless, but this was the best. Tress could not get enough love.. which is most days for him, and Aeron was happy to oblige. Two little softies.

I know I'm nowhere to be found in this picture, but Aeron and I caught this big bass! I can do everything from splitting the worm, to the casting, but I'm not so good with the getting the hook out of the fish part..


And not to be shown up, daddy and Addyson caught this huge catfish on one of the last casts of the day. The two big guys and countless little ones .. that's what kept us down there for 3 hours .. very much unplanned (hence dinner at 9pm that night), but we wouldn't have traded that time for the world.


And last but not least, Addyson and Aeron headed back to preschool this week! 3 days a week this year, and both, of course, were very excited.


Oh, and we can't not say HAPPY 65th BIRTHDAY, GRANDPA! We love you! :)
