Camping, Sorry, and More Swimming

We had fun with our second annual camping trip with Vince's family .. down by our barn. We call it camping because we actually sleep in tents and cook meals over the fire, but the house is close, so we have the bathroom, refrigerator, and running water when needed. Hey, we can't get too crazy with 3 four year-olds just yet. :) We spent the time playing cards, eating, go-carting, bike riding (the little ones, at least), and just sitting around relaxing. We also took a 12-person raft down Mohican River for a memorable 7-mile trip.

Addyson had two daddy long legs crawling all over here this day. Talk about giving you the willies. They were on her neck, in her hair .. all over and she just giggled. Just remember, we are talking about the same girl that has a cicada shell in her bug box, which has to sit on her headboard when she sleeps. She's also the one Grandma gets to save the frogs out of the pool.

Golf lessons with daddy. Aeron likes to swing the club.. maybe not quite as much as he likes to swing the baseball bat, but as long as he doing something like that he's happy. And he's actually pretty coordinated with most of it. He has also started asking to watch golf, soccer, baseball, basketball .. any kind of sports on TV.

We have graduated from Candyland to Sorry! lately. I forgot how many different things you have to remember when playing that game .. drawing again on a 2, go backwards on a 4, split up the 7, etc.. Addyson and Aeron understand the Sorry! cards, and love to get them.

Swimming, swimming and more swimming. Aeron now does a picture-perfect cannonball (and announces it every time), goes in head first for either a dive or a half flip if he goes over too far off the diving board, and is a little fish swimming around underwater .. even without his floatie. Addyson has turned into a fish herself. She is now jumping off the diving board and swimming underwater everywhere .. also with and without a floatie. They aren't quite ready for no floaties 100% of the time, but they are going to be ready for that before we know it.

How cute are these watermelons? We have about half a dozen growing, I think.
