Fun Weekends with Second Cousins

By the time I remember I haven't updated the blog for a while, I just go to the pictures to see what it was we did in the last few weeks to remind myself. I know I say it all the time, but these weeks are just flying by. There are just not enough hours in the day anymore.

We went to the Balloonfest in Ashland a few weekends ago. What a neat thing to see. First we watched two dozen hot air balloons blow up and lift off, then they came back around dark and put on a light show. We went with 'Baby Hayden' and her family. Hayden is the kids' second cousin, who is very much not a baby anymore ..she's 2.. but I am not sure she will ever lose the name.

This past weekend we spent in Mechanicsburg, PA camping.. sort of. We did actually sleep in a tent, but that was about the extent of the camping. It was the every-other-year Yoder reunion, and we could not have had more fun. A new Dutch Blitz champ was crowned (congrats, Maria!), countless songs were sung, stories were shared, and little second cousins met for the first time. We cannot wait for the next one. I would love to share some pictures, but I don't like putting pictures of other people's kids (or adults, for that matter), without permission, but suffice to say we had a wonderful time and the kids are still talking about Pennsylvania.

We have been spending lots of time swimming in this extra warm weather. Both kids are swimming pretty well underwater, and loving it.

The garden is growing by the day. The sunflowers are beginning to bloom, some of the cornstalks are getting their silk, we are enjoying fresh lettuce daily, and we even have a few small pumpkins and watermelons sprouting.
