A TuTu, A Police Car, and Cutting Shapes

Addyson found a tutu in her dress-up chest, and I think she wore it for 2 or 3 days straight .. for naps, to bed, outside to play, even to a restaurant .. non-stop. She has since moved on, but couldn't do anything without it for a time.

We are lucky that we have several police officers in the family. Jason stopped by with his police cruiser one night and the kids loved it, of course.
Hopefully this will be the last time we see our kids like this.. Addyson in the back of the cruiser.

Aeron being handcuffed..

and hauled off to jail.

"I want to cut wif my safety scissors!" Addyson says this quite often. Up to this point, they have been doing little cuts around the edges of the paper, but this time we drew lines on the paper to see how they did. Aeron was good at cutting straight lines, and Addyson was very good at cutting out the shapes. It's quite apparent who has the concentration and patience between these two when it comes to detail.

Addyson and her circle (she also cut out a rectangle and heart). She was so detailed-if she left any of the line showing, she would go back and fix it. She did this circle and the other shapes with very little help from mom or dad.

Aeron and his circle:

Aeron would much rather do his share of hardwork. He kept himself busy for quite a while sweeping the barn.

And they both LOVED helping daddy clean his "motorcycle."

Cayce has decided that the couch is quite comfy (we do try to keep her down, but easier said then done sometimes) and has even curled up with Tress a few times! Tress isn't too sure about this, though, and is usually gone pretty quick.

Oh my goodness...those circles are hilarious! Not everyone can have patience to be creative, some have to like hard, physical work! Sure can see how they differ there!
