Christmas 2010 and Happy 2011!

We survived the hectic but joyous holiday season. Addyson and Aeron were so much fun to watch this year with Christmas presents. Aeron was so excited he was practically shaking in anticipation at times. They received numerous gifts that they are throughouly enjoying every day.

One of the most simple gifts from Mimi and Papa Meshew to Addyson was a sticky, stretchy, bean-filled frog. She sleeps with it every night and it's not far from her no matter where we are. It's kind of creepy if you ask me .. but it's SO Addyson.

Each of the younger Yoder cousins received a bowling ball from Triway Lanes. They started bowling in Jr. league this year. Of course Aeron was super-excited about his ball. He is constantly asking to bowl, and lucky for him, most of the time he can! And the little turkey is getting pretty good at throwing that ball right down the middle of the lane.

We had quite a bit of snow on the ground for a while. Daddy took the kids snow tubing behind the 4-wheeler. You couldn't wipe the smiles off their faces (all three of them). The snow is all gone now, but I know they will be out there once it decides to fall again.

We took the kids to see the Harlem Globetrotters the week between Christmas and New Years. The Globetrotters, of course, won, and it was quite entertaining.

The kids again spent New Year's Eve with Gpa and Gma Yoder and their cousins. They, of course, had a blast, and all stayed up to watch the ball drop. Matt and I worked a rockin', packed party at Triway.

We took some Christmas money and bought the family a Wii. We have been talking about it for quite a while, and finally just gave in. All four of us have had a great time with it. Aeron and Addyson can beat mommy and daddy in bowling every single time. We have already spent some fun evenings playing until bedtime. Mario Cart is another favorite game (see below).

Even though Christmas has come and gone, the kids are still picking Christmas songs for their bedtime songs. I'm wondering how far into 2011 we are going to be singing "Jingle Bells," "Up on the House Top," and "Rudolph."
The holidays are always fun and entertaining, but it's also nice to get back into a routine again. Addyson and Aeron can't wait to start school again next Monday.
