I've Been Replaced

So the kids have been playing house.. pushing their babies around in strollers, calling each other 'mom' and 'dad'. Aeron would call out, "Hey mom.." I would answer and each time he would tell me he wasn't talking to me. Later I hear, "Real mom.. hey real mom!" Yes, that's my name now.. "real mom."

Addyson is also trying to help Aeron with his letters. We were driving to Uncle Vince's and Aeron said, "We goin' to Uncle Bince's." Addyson said, "It starts with a V, Aeron .. V-V-Vince." Aeron tried, "B-B-Bince. Yeah, I can't say dat."

Aeron had a tiny little scratch on his finger and he thought it was a paper cut. He convinced me he needed a bandaid, and Addyson took over consoling him. "It's okay, Aeron. Paper cuts hurt sometimes." She put the bandaid on his finger for him and all was well. Yes, I think Addyson is trying to replace me. But she's a good little mommy.

"How cool is dat?" This would be Aeron's saying for lots of things.

I can tell the kids are getting older and I'm getting more trusting. I heard them playing in the bathroom the other night and heard water running. I didn't go rushing in there.. I let them play for a while.. the bathroom is an easy place to clean up. :) After they were done I went in and they had the hand towel soaked and the counters were pretty wet, along with the floor, but you could tell they had tried to clean up after themselves.
