"Ow!"

I think we are pretty much over our ear infections and sicknesses for now, thank goodness.
Aeron has picked up on saying a few words this week. Most things are still 'da'. You point to a ball, and he says 'da' - but you can tell he means ball. Baby is still 'da-da' (again, you can tell he means baby) most of the time, although he has said 'ba-ba' a few times. But he now says 'buh-buh' when he waves bye, 'owww' when he hits his head, and "uh-uh" when he drops something. We have started realizing that Aeron is a little softy compared to his sister. You can take something away from him (for the most part) or Addyson will take a toy from him and he really doesn't say boo .. he just goes on and finds something else. Also, when he makes his animal noises or tries to repeat things, it's in this soft, adorable, high little voice.

A little more on this 'ow' thing.. both of them have realized that things don't hurt any more after mom or dad kisses their boo-boo. Addyson started this, and Aeron has followed.. they run over to the doorway, bump their heads rather hard, say "ow," run over to get a kiss, and then run over to bonk their heads again. This cycle can go on forever. Usually Addyson has a big red mark on her forehead after several bonks, but just keeps going. Strange kids.

Addyson has decided that sitting in her crib and talking loudly is much more fun than sleep. She is so tired, but just can't seem to wind down, so she sits in there and yells "Hi Dada!" and giggles, and just does anything she can to stay awake. When she does finally hold still, she's out in 2 minutes. I am guessing this is just a phase .. hopefully a quick one. :) Addyson is quite the little talker and repeater. She can say just about anything you want her to, and probably knows 10 words or more, I would say. She loves to wave bye-bye. If we are all in the living room and she is going to walk into the dining room, she turns and waves to us, and we have to wave back and say "bye-bye" before she actually goes. A new favorite toy is "Moo." One of the first things she says when she wakes up is "Moo?" This is a toy from their old bouncy seats .. a stuffed cow that has a ring you can pull down and it plays a lovely annoying tune.

We had one Thanksgiving dinner already, and have two more this coming week. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Here are the kids on their new step stools in the bathroom. They drag them all over the house and I am sure will soon be using them to climb on everything.

And here is a favorite snack-eating place.. they are under their highchairs if you can't tell. I think it's fun for them to climb around, but also the dog can't steal their snacks as easily.
