Trash, Boo Boos, and Shoes

Had the kids 18-month checkup this week. Addyson is a whopping 21 lb. 7 oz. and Aeron is right behind her at 20 lb. 7 oz. He's finally back to within one pound of his sister. Woohoo! They are within a 1/2 inch of each other as well. Our pediatrician is amazed at how well they are doing. It never gets old hearing that and don't believe it ever will. They truly are a blessing and we can't wait to share their story with them when they are old enough to understand.

Both Addyson and Aeron have learned to throw away their dirty diapers. How cool is that!? :) The other night I was on my own and gave baths. I got Aeron out and dried off first and he took off running around. He came back in the bathroom while I was getting Addyson out and dried off and he saw that the diapers I had taken off of them were still on the floor. He took one and I could hear him walk out to the kitchen, open the cupboard door, throw in the diaper and shut the door. He had never done it ALL by himself before, so I was quite proud. Pretty soon he came back in, picked up the second diaper and did the same. I was still drying Addyson (she has so much hair!) when he came back in a third time looking for another diaper .. which there was not .. so he found a shirt and took it out to the trash. Two more trips later another shirt and a pair of shorts were thrown away. Quite the helper, I must say! Below is a picture of our trash can post-Aeron.

About a week ago we were putting a bandaid on Addyson's toe each night before bed with some medicine because she had a little cut. It has since healed, but she must not think so. Every time she sees a bandaid, or if she just happens to look at her foot, she picks it up and stares at her toe and will even sometimes say, "boo boo." It doesn't help that we are now putting a bandaid on Aeron's foot each night before bed because he really does have a boo boo. Below is a picture of Addyson staring at her foot .. while lounging in an empty box.

This would be Aeron fully clothed in the bath tub. I had my back turned and he must have gotten a little impatient. He reached in trying to get his toys and splash!

Addyson just hanging out with her milk. Little missy is even crossing her legs.

Aeron on the go, of course. Note the shoes. Yes, this is Aeron every single day. Sometimes he gets one shoe out and wants it on. Sometime he gets the matching shoe and wants it on .. sometimes he gets out two different shoes and wants them on .. even if one is pink.
