I put her in a green outfit the other day and she told me, "Mom, I don't wike green and blue so much as I wike pink and purple."
Aeron's new saying: "I'm going to be as big as daddy, and as old as grandpa, and then wide a blue four wheewer."
How confusing the English language can be. Aeron loves hitting a baseball, and we were talking about that when he swings and misses, it's called a strike. He said, "Yeah! I got a 'trike!" Oh wait .. no, a strike is good in bowling, but not good in baseball. Try explaining that to someone who has loved to get strikes for probably two years now. Then we were also talking about how someone is out if the other team catches the ball in the air. When the ball went whizzing passed my head and I didn't catch it, he said, "I'm in!" Hey, it makes sense to me.
The weather has turned quite chilly the last few days, so we've been looking for things to do inside once again. The kids want to go outside, so we bundle them up, complete with hats and gloves, but they come back in soon after because it's just too "chiwy" and windy.
Yesterday they spent quite a bit of time cutting out shapes. The last thing they cut-out were these gingerbread-like people. They were so excited with themselves that they were able to cut these out.
We then turned to another fun indoor project .. cookie baking. But nothing is as fun as "wicking" the batter.
Hopefully the warmer weather will come back soon so we can get back outside again. After being able to be out in shorts and short sleeves (along with much-needed nightly baths) for almost a week now, it's hard having to stop and bundle up again before heading out the door. At least this time we didn't get any of that white stuff along with the chill.. yet. Welcome to Ohio.
