Matt and I both said that just four days away from the kids (which, by the way, was the longest we have ever been away .. they have spent the night at grandma's house one night prior to this .. I know, I know .. they are three, but we're a little attached :) .. anyway, we both thought that in four days their speech grew by leaps and bounds. I am guessing it was just us being away, but it seems like they grew up so much in that time. We do have two little ones in underwear now, though! We haven't had a day where both have been accident-free yet, but we are close. Aeron really jumped in there quick once he saw Addyson going potty, I believe. He loves to 'tand up' to pee, and does really well with it, actually.
The kids were happy to see us when we got home.. but enjoyed the suitcase ride even more.
Aeron and I went to Relay for Life tonight (the local American Cancer Society fundraiser) and a gentleman was handing out pretzels. Aeron told me "anover daddy" gave them to him. He is a non-stop talker sometimes. The other night he was being goofy and told us that "geen means top, red means go, and yellow means fast!" (we tell them yellow means slow).
Addyson is quite the helper these days, and growing up so fast. She helped daddy make all three beds the other morning. She gets her brother's shoes when he asks for them. She tells me when the soap needs filled, when we are almost out of toilet paper, and that she's "firsty for some milk, pease."
The kids have been wrestling with each other quite a bit lately. On the floor, their beds, the couch .. anywhere, and just giggling away. Cayce even gets into the action sometimes.
Cleaning the windows..
Tress and Cayce .. a rare moment of laying still together..
Grandpa Yoder has been letting the kids drive a little tractor around their yard. I don't think I have to tell you that Aeron is LOVING this. It's in first gear and crawling, but that does not matter. He likes to turn around and talk to you as he's driving, but he actually does really well steering and even turning around in the drive. Addyson takes her turn driving as well, and has the steering down, too. They like to give rides .. notice the chair sitting in the trailer.
Matt measured the kids back in January. He measured them again exactly 4 months later. Aeron grew about 1-1/2 inches and Addyson 1-1/8 inches. No wonder those pants are getting short..
