Toddler Beds!

One word .. challenging. At least with one little girl, that is.

Aeron has caught on pretty well with his new big boy bed - we just put the toddler rail on the cribs last Monday. The first day Aeron came out of his room just a few times, but since then does not crawl out of his bed. He will sit in there and talk forever sometimes, but eventually will fall asleep. He doesn't even get out on his own in the morning when he wakes up. I'd say he gets an A in this department! They have new pillows with Elmo on the pillowcases, so that is pretty exciting, too.

Little Miss Addyson, on the other hand could maybe get a C-. I don't think we can even count how often we put her back in bed for naps and bedtime. She has started bringing her pillow, blanket, and baby out with her .. not sure what that is about. Sometimes she comes all the way out of her room, other times she kind of cracks the door and then shuts it when she sees that we are right there. She is quite the challenge, but we continue to give her the benefit of the doubt since it's so new yet. Hopefully she will catch on soon. The first night at 3:45 am she came out of her room and I met her in the hallway. She told me she "wanted to read book." Uh-huh. The other day during naps I was outside doing something and came back in, busying myself with something. All of the sudden I heard a "Hi Mommy!" from behind the dining room table. There she was sitting on the floor reading a book. I didn't even see her. She has no problem coming out of her room when she wakes up, obviously. Oh yes, fun times.

Addyson now counts from 6 to 13 all on her own. One day she just started counting past ten and it really caught us off guard. It's still "1, 2, 6, 7, 8.." but she's getting there. The "eyeven, telve, tirteen" is pretty cute.

Aeron peed in the potty for the first time ever tonight! We were so proud, and so was he. Addyson, of course had to sit and try and actually did pee a little as well, so she also got some praise. I think once one of them catches on the other should be pretty close behind.

Aeron showing off his ouchies from a scooter wreck last week. Just some scrapes.. he cried a bit when it happened, but never once complained about them after that.

I think Addyson is showing off her elbow because Aeron did in the picture above..
